Beautiful sunny walk in Athens day 1

It is a sunny day here in Athens. Instantly you feel happy and blessed just because you walk in the streets of Plaka with your sunglasses and your Summer Mood on. So you let the beautiful sunny walk. Here are some pictures, hope you enjoy as much as I did:

Choragic Monument of Lysicrates The Choragic Monument of Lysicrates near the Acropolis of Athens was erected by the Choregos Lysicrates, a wealthy patron of musical performances in the Theater of Dionysus, to commemorate the award of first prize in 335/334 BCE to one of the performances he had sponsored. The Choregos was the sponsor who paid for and supervised the training of the dramatic dance-chorus. The monument is known as the first use of the Corinthian order on the exterior of a building. It has been reproduced widely in modern monuments and building elements. (By Wikipedia)

Athens University Museum The Athens University Museum is a museum in Plaka, Athens, Greece. The building was a structure of the Ottoman period but fundamentally restructured between 1831 and 1833 by Stamatios Kleanthis and Eduard Schaubert for their architectural office. From 1837 to 1841 it housed the newly founded University of Athens. (By Wikipedia)

What a better stop for some dessert at Nancy' s Sweet Home, which serves handmade desserts. My favourite dessert is the one on top, every time I go there I order the same one. Be prepared for very big portions. Here is the website of Nancy' s Sweet Home:

While I was walking at Kolonaki, but first a few things about this area: Kolonaki is a neighborhood in central Athens, Greece and it is located on the southern slopes of Lycabettus hill. Also it is a wealthy and upmarket district. (By Wikipedia) Well, while I was there I saw something very interesting outside a shop. I saw Pinocchio and I had to take a picture. It really made my day.
